Ford Poice Interceptor Revealed

The All-New Ford Police Interceptor is PURPOSE-BUILT to Lead Market and Support Those Who Serve and Protect.

Ford reveals its all-new 2012, purpose-built Police Interceptor, engineered to exceed durability, safety and performance of today's leading police car – the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.  Gresham Ford has been a proud Oregon Ford dealership serving the municipal fleet needs of Portland, Salem and Vancouver metro areas.  The 2012 New Ford Police Interceptor sedan will offer two fuel-efficient power train options – including Eco Boost with all wheel-drive – along with an array of safety technologies; interior has been designed to meet unique law enforcement needs of the northwest.  Oregon and Washington are known for the overcast rainy weather and the all wheel drive offered by the 2012 Police Interceptor answers that need.  Gresham Ford has an educated and knowledgeable staff ready to demonstrate the advantages and benefits of the Eco Boost gasoline direct-injection turbocharged engine technology which  adds 125 patents and patent applications to Ford's 4,618 active and thousands of pending U.S. patents.  So as you can imagine with all those new patents - there is a lot of impressive new technology to consider when expanding a police pursuit fleet of vehicles.

Ford's new Police Interceptor will be offered without interruption when production of the Ford Crown Victoria ends in late 2011.  You can contact Annette Wetzel-Ramirez, Municipal/Commercial Fleet Manager, at Gresham Ford for an updated order and price guide.  Gresham Ford held the award for largest municipal Oregon Ford dealer for almost 5 years in a row.  You can also contact her via e-mail to answer any questions you may have about the all new 2012 Ford Police Interceptor available through the Gresham Ford Fleet Department

Ford confirms production of an additional Police Interceptor, a utility vehicle that will be pursuit-rated to complement the sedan; vehicle to be revealed later this year.  This vehicle will take place of the Special Service Vehicle Expedition that has been so popular among the Oregon and Washington Police and Law Enforcement Agencies.  Gresham Ford with Municipal Fleet Manager Annette Wetzel-Ramirez holds the Ford Expedition Special Service Vehicle Contract with the State of Oregon.  Call for up to date production times, order guides with option listings as well as a government price guide for the State of Oregon Fleet departments at 503-969-4184.

In Las Vegas on March 12, 2010 Ford revealed its all-new, purpose-built Police Interceptor sedan, showcasing a car for law enforcement officials that will exceed the durability, safety, performance and fuel economy of the industry's leading police car the Ford Crown Victoria.  Remember that the Crown Victoria is the only pursuit rated vehicle that has been tested and PASSES 75-MPH REAR-END CRASH TESTING.
Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is the only police pursuit sedan on the market tested to meet 75-mph rear-end crash tests without a fuel-tank puncture.  And Ford is the only vehicle manufacturer to publish 75-mph test results.  Officer Safety is the first priority for Ford Motor Company and Gresham Ford.  Ford, the police vehicle market leader for 15 years, specifically designed and engineered an all-new Police Interceptor to handle the rigors of police work, including industry-leading power train, safety and technology innovations.

The all new Police Interceptor offers the INDUSTRY-FIRST FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM (FSS) as optional equipment.  Reduce the risk of injury in a high-speed, high-energy rear impact. As indicated
by data from the ABS sensors, a backup timer initiates the First Fire Suppression System 6 seconds after impact – releasing chemicals when the car is coming to a stop.  FSS chemicals are stored in an unpressurized liquid state and work on a 2-gas generator setup similar to that used to deploy airbags.

Gresham Ford Municipal Fleet will also be offering the INDUSTRY-FIRST, FACTORY-INSTALLED BALLISTIC DOOR PANEL also as optional equipment in attempts to again increase officer safety.  Shielding against all Type III rounds, this panel is certified to National Institute of Justice Standard
0108.01, crash-rated to federal standards and weather-tested from -49°F to 104°F. It’s covert (invisible
from the outside) and lightweight, plus it won’t interfere with windows, locks or interior space. Select a
panel for the driver’s door only (Option Code 90L) or for both front doors (Option Code 90B).  This is an option not offered with the Dodge Charger or the Chevy Tahoe.  Additionally neither the Dodge or Chevy have passed 75mph rear test crash ratings.

The interior space specifically the front seating has been enhanced for greater comfort and support, seat backs and head restraints are redesigned. Seat-cushion trim is improved with lumbar bolster added.
STANDARD V8. The only squad car in its class standard-equipped with a 4.6L OHC V8 FFV – 250 hp and 297 lb.-ft. of torque.  This means that city fleets can now utilize E85 which has historically been up to a dollar cheaper than regular unleaded gasoline.  FFV = EPAct CREDITS. Purchase a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor for your force and you can earn EPAct credits for greater flexibility in choosing the remainder of your fleet vehicles.  This will continue to provide safety and flexibility to municipal fleets even as budgets are tight.  The ENGINE-IDLE METER tracks engine-idle time while the transmission is in P or N, and
helps schedule maintenance more accurately.  With a 200-AMP, HEAVY-DUTY ALTERNATOR that generates up to 200 amps of electrical capacity.  SPEED-SENSITIVE STEERING. Steering assist that adjusts automatically.  REAR-WHEEL DRIVE.  WIDE TRACK. The 65.6-in. rear track width is not only best in the Interceptor class, it makes for precision handling.  BODY-ON-FRAME CONSTRUCTION.
The rugged body is secured to a separate frame composed of hydro formed steel (a Crown Victoria  exclusive) – built in the durable manner of many full-size pickups. Additionally the INTERIOR ROOMINESS of the 2012 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is the Best-in-class with 107.5 cu. ft. of passenger volume – plus a best-in-class 20.6 cu. ft. of trunk space.  That is a lot of room for a lot of equipment.

POWER-ADJUSTABLE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR PEDALS continue the tread of this police pursuit vehicle creating a comfortable safe space for our public servants.  The Crown Victoria Police Interceptor also sports a FULL-SIZE SPARE.  Ford Motor Company and Gresham Ford suggest that oil change intervals be 5,000-MILE.  The 2012 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor offers a  5-YEAR/60,000-MILE POWERTRAIN LIMITED WARRANTY. No deductible; goes beyond the 3-year/36,000-mile Bumper-to- Bumper Coverage – see Annette Wetzel-Ramirez, Municipal Fleet and Commercial Truck Manager, at Gresham Ford for complete details and qualifications.

Ford will also add a second Police Interceptor to the lineup, a utility vehicle to provide customers a choice of the best vehicle to suit their needs. More details will be released in the third quarter of this year or you can contact Annette and she will send it to you as soon as its available.  "Police nationwide asked for a new kind of weapon in the battle for public safety, and Ford is answering the call with a purpose-built vehicle – engineered and built in America – that's as dynamic as it is durable," said Mark Fields, Ford president of The Americas.

To develop the all-new Police Interceptor, Ford engineers worked hand-in-hand with Ford's Police Advisory Board of law enforcement professionals, which provided input on key vehicle attributes such as safety, performance, durability, driver comfort and functionality."Their feedback mattered to us," said Scott Tobin, Ford vehicle line director for cars and crossovers. "Safety and durability were at the top of their list. So safety and durability were at the top of ours."

The new 2012 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor sports 5 Stars in all NHTSA1 crash tests.  FRONT-SEAT SIDE AIRBAGS which make up the PERSONAL SAFETY SYSTEM.TM Includes dual-stage front airbags,2 safety belt pretensioners, safety belt energy-management retractors, safety belt usage sensors, driver’s seat position sensor, crash severity sensor, restraint control module and Front-Passenger Sensing System.  The ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) along with  TRACTION CONTROL detects loss of traction and corrects to maintain course, reducing engine power when necessary.  It is also optional to have THE COURTESY LAMPS AND DOOR-LOCK disabled with a CONFIRMATION FLASH.  This  Disables interior courtesy lamps and prevents the parking lights from flashing when doors lock.  CUSTOM-FIT TRUNK PACK helps reduce the risk of injury in a highspeed rear impact, reduces possibility of equipment pushing into the back seat, and lessens risk of equipment penetrating fuel tank; drop-in design composed of highdensity polyethylene (HDPE) with protective DuPontTM Kevlar® barrier on front face.
A focus on safety Continuing Ford's safety leadership includes engineering the Police Interceptor to pass 75-mph rear-end crash testing. Currently, the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is the only pursuit sedan to meet this test.   The new Police Interceptor also features Ford's exclusive Safety Canopy® side-curtain air bag rollover protection system to help protect front and rear outboard passengers in both rollover and side-impact crashes. The multiple side-curtain air bags use Ford's unique Roll Fold technology to help them slip between the occupant and the side window.

With its Increased power, enhanced sophistication Ford's Police Interceptor engine strategy will provide a V-6 lineup that performs equal to or better than V-8 engines. The lineup comes with two power train options, allowing police to choose the powerhouse that best meets their patrol requirements.  A highly efficient 3.5-liter V-6 engine delivering at least 263 horsepower and E85 compatibility is 25 percent more efficient than the 4.6-liter Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) V-8 offered in the current Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.

Plus, an all-new 3.5-liter EcoBoost™ V-6 twin-turbocharged, direct-injection engine will deliver at least 365 horsepower and 350 ft.-lb. of torque across a broad rpm range.  "We have an extremely powerful standard engine, and to top that off, we also offer our exclusive EcoBoost technology," said Tobin. "Both are designed for the severe-duty cycle that police engage in on a daily basis."

EcoBoost brings municipalities and police fleet administrators the first ultra high-performance, yet environmentally friendly, police pursuit vehicle. Offering performance that bests normally aspirated V-8 powered police cruisers and comparable fuel economy and CO2 emissions to the standard V-6, EcoBoost represents a triple-win for police departments, the tax-paying constituents they serve and the environment they help collectively to preserve.

A high-capacity six-speed SelectShift Automatic™ transmission delivers the power of EcoBoost to the road via the sophisticated torque-sensing all-wheel-drive system.  "Ford remains committed to leading the police vehicle market, and our new Police Interceptor demonstrates how much engineering and innovation we're willing to invest to address the unique needs of those who protect and serve communities throughout America," Fields said.

Rigidly tested, police-tuned throughout its development, Ford's new Police Interceptor has been put through the paces, undergoing a battery of torture tests to ensure its individual components can hold up to the rigorous driving styles of police professionals.  Certification testing designed by the Michigan State Police and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department evaluates the durability and capability of the vehicle through a variety of tests where the car's systems are pushed to the limits for nearly an hour and a half – far exceeding the demands most patrol cars ever experience.

To meet the rigors of the durability testing, the brakes have been increased in size and performance. The cooling package is purpose-built as well, featuring a heavy-duty alternator and larger radiator. Its honeycomb grille is designed to work in harmony with the interior components, offering more air flow throughout the vehicle. Plus, the standard 18-inch steel wheels are vented, designed to work in concert with the enhanced brake system.  "This vehicle is pursuit-ready," said Carl Widmann, vehicle engineering manager. "It's no nonsense, through and through."

Functional, inside and out Special features continue inside, too. "Working with our police partners, we've considered every detail," said Ken Czubay, Ford vice president of Marketing, Sales and Service. "Approximately 90 percent of the interior has been redesigned to meet the needs of our special police customers."   Front seats have been specially designed, with a lower bolster removed to better accommodate officers' utility belts. Inserted into the seatback are anti-stab plates, designed to protect front-seat occupants.

The Police Interceptor second row also has been optimized to address police-specific needs.  The vinyl seats are specially sculpted and set back to improve second-row space and maximize legroom. The back door hinges are modified to open up another 10 degrees versus traditional rear doors.  The Ford Police Interceptor also is equipped with a column shift specifically designed so the console area is free for the ever-increasing amounts of aftermarket police equipment necessary for officers to do their jobs.

The new vehicle also features:   BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System): The system uses two radar sensors located in the rear quarter panels to detect vehicles in the surrounding lanes. If a vehicle enters the driver's blind-spot zones, the system alerts the driver with a warning light in the side-view mirror.

Cross Traffic Alert: This system uses the existing BLIS radar modules to sense oncoming traffic when slowly backing out of a parking spot. This industry-exclusive system functions only while the vehicle is in reverse and warns when cross-traffic appears within three car-widths.  Rear View Camera System: When the vehicle is in rear camera mode, a color image with guidance markers on the rear view mirror will assist the driver in backing up.

Reverse Sensing System: An audible tone will alert the driver to certain objects up to 6 feet behind the vehicle.  Standard AdvanceTrac® ESC (electronic stability control): This helps maintain the intended path by measuring side-to-side yaw, or skidding, by the vehicle's speed, throttle position and steering wheel angle. When wheel slip is sensed, AdvanceTrac reduces engine torque and applies selected brakes.  Ford SYNC®: The Ford-exclusive, hands-free information system has the potential to be customized and remapped to work specifically with police aftermarket equipment such as lights and sirens, allowing officers to focus on the task at hand.  Ford's new Police Interceptor sedan will be manufactured at Ford's Chicago (Ill.) Assembly Plant and will be offered without interruption when production of the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor ends in late 2011.

Is there a Teddy Bear in Your Future?

Every year the Gresham Soroptimists sponsor the Teddy Bear Parade in Downtown Gresham. It is a Gresham Signature Event – at least I’ve never been anywhere else where there is a Teddy Bear Parade other than Gresham. The registration fee is just $20. Entries can be from merchants, service organizations, schools, neighborhood groups or individuals – now that includes just about everybody!  Animals may be entered provided they are under full control of their masters (leashes are required) at all times.  Owners are responsible for their pet’s water and sanitation (that means “Pooper Scoopers” are required for your dog, horse, or hamster).  The entry forms are out, so let’s make this year’s event one for the record books. For more information and to request an application form, please call 503-666-2537 or you can send an e-mail
request to jan@tailmaderecords.com  Now if marching down the street holding your Teddy Bear is not
your thing – I guarantee watching others do this is golden!  So put the parade on your calendar –
Saturday, September 25, 2010.  The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and events continue throughout the day in
downtown. Remember to come hungry. Local downtown restaurants promise to feed the appetites of all the
hungry bears, teddy bears that is.

NOTICE TO UTILITY VEHICLE AND TRUCK OWNERS - Utility vehicles and trucks handle
differently than passenger cars in the various driving conditions that are encountered on streets, highways and off-road. Utility vehicles and trucks are not designed for cornering at speeds as high as passenger cars any more than low-slung sports cars are designed to perform satisfactorily under off-road conditions. WARNING: Utility vehicles have a significantly higher rollover rate than other types of vehicles. To reduce the risk of serious injury or death from a rollover or other crash you must: Avoid sharp turns and abrupt maneuvers; Drive at safe speeds for the conditions; Keep tires properly inflated; Never overload or improperly load your vehicle; and Make sure every passenger is properly restrained.  WARNING: In a rollover crash, an unbelted person is significantly more likely to die than a person wearing a seat belt.  All occupants must wear seat belts and children/infants must use appropriate restraints to minimize the risk of injury or ejection.  Study your Owner’s Guide and any supplements for specific information about equipment features, instructions for safe driving and additional precautions to reduce the risk of an accident or serious injury.  VEHICLE CHARACTERISTICS 4WD and AWD Systems (if equipped) A vehicle equipped with AWD or 4WD (when selected) has the ability to use all four wheels to power itself. This increases traction which may enable you to safely drive over terrain and road.  The Gresham Ford Family is proud to be your Oregon Ford Dealer of choice and serves the Portland area.  If you were looking for a Vancouver Discount tire store we can also help you and are just minutes away.

7%

I went to a class at Mt. Hood Community College this past week. One of the topics of the class was on communication. Here is an interesting fact: 55% of the communication we do is with body language, 38% with tone of voice, and just 7% with the words we say.  So the old adage “it is not what you say, but how you say it” is so true.  So here in the newspaper I only get to use printed words. Does that mean only 7% of you ever hear what I say? Well, we will find out. As I wrote last week we are celebrating several recent awards from Ford Motor Company with a “Customer Appreciation Luncheon” on Friday, August 20th (didn’t seem right to do it on the 13th) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. While we want to express our appreciation to all of our customers, we really want to meet as many of you as possible.  And at 12:30 p.m. Employees from Ford Motor Company will officially present us with Ford Motor Company’s President’s Award!  Then we will have a conversation where we can use 100% of our communication skills to make
you feel welcome. Annette and Laurie are going to be putting a great lunch together! Cher has some
prizes for everyone! Bob & Preston have a smile for each of you!  And I can’t wait to meet more
than 7% of you!! See you on Friday for Lunch!!

Certified Pre-Owned Ford Vehicles at Gresham Ford

The Program Benefits of purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned Ford are many at least 169.  If a vehicle doesn’t meet our strict criteria, we won’t certify it. It’s that simple.  Each vehicle must pass a rigorous 169 point-by-point inspection by Gresham Ford factory-trained technicians. Only those vehicles that pass can become Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicles and will ever appear on the Gresham Ford used vehicle lot.  Each Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle also undergoes a comprehensive mechanical reconditioning process during certification.  Gresham Ford is proud to have many master certified techinicians - more than almost any other dealership in the Portland area.   To ensure the highest standard of quality is met, only new, Genuine Ford, Motorcraft® or Ford-authorized replacement parts are used during this reconditioning.  The Gresham Ford Parts Department is headed by Mike Amato who has been with Gresham Ford for twenty-five plus years.  The 169-point inspection is comprehensive and available to you - just ask your Certified Sales Professional at Gresham Ford.

First the Vehicle History is checked in the Ford Service Department by Ford techinicians.  First to Ensure that the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on vehicle and paperwork matches the VIN on the vehicle.  This can avert problems later.  Next the Ford Service Mechanic checks the on-line OASIS report to ensure that all updates, recalls or other necessary service has already been completed for the vehicle.  Checking Recalls (OASIS) performed (including software updates for hybrid) can be very important when looking for a used car for sale.  Next the Service Center looks at the Vehicle History Report obtained from Ford Motor Company.  This will alert the Service Center technician to any ongoing difficulties the vehicle may have experienced.  This is very important to weed out the "lemons".  Additionally the Service Maintenance Center preforms the necessary Scheduled maintenance by the Gresham Ford Quicklane.  At the Quicklane just minutes from Portland you never need an appointment for oil changes or tire rotations.  We are on your schedule, see how easy fast and detailed our Service Center can be for your next oil change.
Prior to delivery of your vehicle, the following checks and inspections will be performed. Any item(s) that did not pass our 169-point inspection will be replaced or repaired.  You will see how complete and detailed the  the Pre-Owned Vehicle Inspection from Ford Motor Company is.

Vehicle History is a crucial portion of the Certified Vehicle process at Gresham Ford located minutes from Portland and Vancouver.

When we road test a vehicle we also inspect the vehicle very closely.  The Ford factory trained technician will start the engine and ensure that it idles properly both while cold and hot.  Then if equipped the Remote start system opertation will be tested.  Then the techinican from the Gresham Ford Service Center accelerates and checks to ensure that the certified pre-owned vehicle cruises smoothly without concern.  Engine noise is covered under cold and hot condition both at high and low speeds.  Again remember that if a vehicle fails to pass this 169 point inspection - Gresham Ford and Ford Motor Company will not certified the vehicle.  Following the noise check the Automatic/manual transmission/transaxle operatation is verified to ensure that the vehicle shifts normally under again both cold and hot conditions.  The noise created by the Automatic/manual transmission/transaxle is also specifically checked in both cold and hot conditions.  As you can begin to see the Gresham Ford Service Center spends quality time with every certified pre-owned vehicle to ensure its quality and longevity to our customers.  Shift interlock operatation is also tested.  Gresham Ford repairs transmissions and engines for Ford vehicles like the Super Duty trucks or even a Ford Focus.  The drive axle and transfer case operation is checked for noise normal.  The Gresham Ford technician, Ian Schaffer, checks to make sure the Clutch operates (smoothly and with proper adjustment).  This verification is also noted on the inspection sheet which is available for every Certified Ford vehicle.  Gresham Ford is just minutes from Portland and Beaverton and is worth the drive if you are searching for a certified pre-owned vehicle.  Click here to see our inventory of Gresham Ford's Certified Pre-owned Ford Cars, Trucks, SUV's and Crossovers.   15. Our Customer is the most important person in our business. Our Customer is not dependent upon us – we are dependent on the customer. Our customer is not an interruption of our work; but the purpose for it. Our
Customer honors us when they call upon us. We are not doing the Customer a favor by serving him/her.  Our Customer is part of our business, not an outsider. Our Customer is our guest. Our Customer is not a cold tatistic, but flesh and blood: a human with feelings and emotions like our own. Our Customer is not someone to argue with or match wits with. Our Customer is the one who brings us his/her needs or wants. Our job is to  fulfill them. Our Customer deserves the most courteous and attentive treatment we can provide. Our Customer has the right to expect an employee to present a neat, clean, appearance.  I wish I could take credit for the above, but this was given to me years ago at a seminar I attended. It is titled the “Customer Ten Commandments” (no author mentioned). So simple, but yet so powerful. Each day at Gresham Ford
our employees try to live up to this code. Recently they won a contest for Customer Service and I just wanted to publicly thank them for their efforts!  However, at the end of the day, it is our Customer’s that deserve our continued thanks and appreciation for allowing us to serve them! In recognition of that fact and in celebration of our win – we are having a Customer Appreciation Luncheon (11:30a.m.-2:00 p.m.) on August 20, 2010. Everyone please put this date on your calendar. Even if you are not our customer, just drop by. We’d love to meet you!!  For more information call 503-665-0101 or email Bess@GreshamFord.com

The 2010 Ford Focus Focus now packs a higher level of safety with AdvanceTrac® electronic stability control and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) standard on all models that are now on sale at the 2010 Year End Sales Event at Gresham Ford.  MyKeyTM is an industry-exclusive feature designed to help promote safer driving habits.  Many parents have told us that it makes them feel so much more secure allowing their children to drive.  For instance a driver is unable to turn the radio on until their seat belt is buckled.  Parents can also limit the volume of the radio as well.  The SES Sedan and Coupe now drive and look alike with the same sport fascia, black chrome, sport-tuned suspension and 17" wheels.  The Performance/Handling of the 2010 Ford Focus is powerful, efficient and environmentally friendly with its engine lineup of a 2.0L Duratec DOHC I-4 engine and a 2.0L Duratec DOHC I-4 PZEV engine.  The 2010 Ford Focus Chassis and European-inspired suspension deliver excellent driving dynamics.  The Independent MacPherson strut front suspension and Control Blade multi-link independent rear suspension work together to provide handling and control that is a step above the competition.  The Sport-tuned suspension is also now available on SES models.  Brake system includes aluminum front calipers and large front rotors to help you stop quicker.  Every Focus is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission; a 4-speed automatic transmission is optional for the 2010 Ford Focus buyer.

Cast aluminum cylinder head and engine block reduces the overall vehicle weight and provides optimized
combustion performance.  The 2.0L Duratec® I-4 engine features a 16-valve dual overhead cam (DOHC) design that delivers 140 horsepower and features a cast aluminum block and cylinder head. This
engine can be teamed with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission depending on your preferences.  2.0L Duratec I-4 PZEV engine also features a 16-valve DOHC design that delivers 136 horsepower and a lightweight aluminum block and cylinder heads. This engine, teamed with either the 5-speed manual transmission or the 4-speed automatic transmission, meets the Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standard. The PZEV rating applies to California Emissions States.  The 2010 Ford Focus has very low emmissions putting it in the same category with some hybrid vehicles.

A stiff chassis with rigid mounting points absorbs road harshness and delivers precise response to steering inputs, for exceptional ride and handling characteristics.  The European-inspired independent MacPherson strut front suspension uses friction-reducing geometry for precise tuning of the shock absorber valves, for remarkable ride and handling.  Gresham Ford demonstrates both of these options on the test drive up highway 26 towards Sandy Oregon.  The Ford European-inspired Control Blade multi-link independent
rear suspension delivers an excellent balance of ride and handling and is built on an isolated subframe to reduce interior vibration and harshness.  The Sport-tuned suspension is standard on SES Coupe and
Sedan models and delivers the ultimate in Focus handling performance. Chassis enhancements include revised strut and shock absorber tuning, revised steering component tuning, larger stabilizer bars and 17" wheels.  The Rack-and-pinion steering delivers linear steering effort and a responsive steering feel.  Gresham Ford has many Master Certified Sales Professionals that can cover all of the 2010 Ford Focus engineering marvels.  Just a short drive from Portland or Vancouver, Gresham Ford is worth the drive to get your new Ford Focus for the best price.

A Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) is certified to emit no more than 6.5 pounds of hydrocarbon pollutants over 120,000 miles of driving. By comparison, a vehicle certified to the California Low Emissions Vehicle (LEV II) or Federal Tier 2 Bin 5 emissions standard emits about 29 pounds over 120,000 miles.
Under today’s criteria, vehicles that achieve a PZEV rating earn 9.5 on the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Vehicle Guides. Only a zero emissions vehicle (battery electric or fuel cell) receives a better score.(1)  To achieve a PZEV rating, a vehicle must meet certain criteria, including:  Meet the super ultra-low emissions vehicle (SULEV) standard for tailpipe pollution.  This Demonstrates the zero fuel-based evaporative emissions and that manufacturer’s warranty must ensure that emissions-related components are covered for 15 years/150,000 miles.

Gresham Ford is proud to be a Presidents Award Winning Oregon Ford Dealership that provides service to Portland and Vancouver.  The 2010 Year End Sales Event is a great time to visit Gresham Ford and the 2010 Ford Line-up of cars, Trucks, Suvs, and Crossover vehicles.
