The second annual Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner will recognize past Multnomah County
Sheriff Bob Skipper and Chaplain Ed Stelle for their leadership and many accomplishments within the community (East County Communities). The dinner is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 9th at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be held locally at Persimmon Country Club, so all the more reason to
attend. Both of these men spent years serving our communities and their accomplishments are really too long to list here in this small column. They lived their lives according to the Boy Scout Oath: “On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country, and obey the Scout Law. To help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.” Therefore, it is fitting that this dinner will benefit the Cascade Pacific Council, Boy Scouts of America. Now that, with two exceptional honorees, is another compelling reason to attend. Sponsors are needed and everyone is welcome to attend! For more information please call Anna LaPointe at 503-225-5741. And remember the Scout Law – A Scout is…Trustworthy – Loyal – Helpful – Friendly – Courteous – Kind – Obedient – Cheerful – Thrifty – Brave – Clean – Reverent. So cheerfully place a courtesy call to honor two brave, kind wonderful men and support clean, obedient, helpful Boy Scouts! You will
have a great time! A special thank you to all who supported the Community Effect. We want to especially recognize Classique Floors & Bella Cupcake!! 242nd & E Powell • Gresham 503-665-0101 • http://www.greshamford.com/ Bess Wills Honor the Men! Help the Boys!
