4th of July Sales Event was made for the F-150 at Gresham Ford

The F-150 has dominated the American truck market for decades and it doesn't look like that will change anytime soon.  The Ford half ton truck has a wide model lineup that serves a multitude of applications with its wide selection.  The STX trim is now offered in both a 4x2 and 4x4 with 145" wheel base on the crew cab model.
F-150's on Sale at Gresham Ford Now

The performance and handling of the F-150 is legendary and made possible with its 3.73 electronic-locking rear differential that is available or you can choose the limited (3.55 electronic-locking rear differential is standard).  Comfort and convenience was far from overlooked when designing the F-150
Ford has provided an electronic-locking rear differential on the new F-150 trucks.  The electronic-locking rear differential is a low speed traction device, and the 2H and 4H disengage speeds are set considering vehicle stability in low slippery conditions with the system engaged.  This is important to many of the Portland area truck buyers because of the mud and rain we endure being Oregonians.  When the electronic-locking rear differential is operating at speeds are higher in 4L in order to provide optimum rear traction to the customer at all times.  The base F-150 can achieve 60+ mph in 4x4 Low; it is a common misconception that speeds of 60+ mph cannot be achieved in 4x4 Low, but they can. It is up to the driver whether or not they want to go that fast in 4x4 Low
The standard F-150 6-speed automatic transmission is designed and built with the ability to adapt operating calibrations to meet the needs of the driver and to help provide consistent and durable shifts during the life of the vehicle. Most transmission calibration adjustments are made during the first few times the vehicle is driven and that the driver may notice harsher transmission shifts during this time. This is normal and is the way the transmission learns and adapts to the driver’s habits and maintains optimal transmission shift point settings.

We know that Gresham and Portland residents want the F-150 because it gets the job done and makes you comfortable while its doing it.  For more information about the F-150 and how it operates feel free to contact and Product Specialist at Gresham Ford, 503-665-0101 or stop by 1999 East Powell Blvd in Gresham.

Ford's 2015 Transit van will carry paint with improved durability

2015 Transit - It's Bigger than Your Business Card

Gresham Ford was informed today that the 2015 Transit work van will retain 90 percent of its gloss for four years when ordered in white. When the first Transit vans arrive in June, they will have a new two-wet monocoat paint process developed by the automaker and its paint suppliers. Ford tested the paint for its resistance to chipping and scratching, pollutants and sun exposure to ensure that it will hold up to Commercial Customer usage. Advanced weathering testing indicates that paint applied with the two-wet technology retains 90 percent of its gloss at four years in service compared to 1 percent gloss retention for paint applied using a conventional monocoat process.   The two-wet monocoat process uses a primer coat that requires a few minutes of open-air drying time before the color coat is applied. The color coat is formulated with the same appearance and protection properties of the clear coat, which eliminates the need for a separate clear coat.

The new paint procedure is being used for white vehicles, which account for 80 percent of Ford Transit production at Kansas City Assembly Plant. As each color must be developed uniquely for the two-wet monocoat process, other colors will be considered based on demand. A conventional three-wet process of primer, base coat, and clear coat remains in use for metallic-colored vehicles.

For more information about the 2015 Transit or Transit Connect contact a Gresham Ford Commercial Account Manager at 503-665-0101 or 2173 E Powell in Gresham Oregon.  Remember the Transit is now available with two different lengths and three different heights.
